The Hentai Reserve Dungeon is a video game I’ve been working on, a sort of creative event to celebrate the The Hentai Reserve Discord server. You, the player, create an adventurer and guide them through an ever-changing stronghold to conquer the enemies within. Will luck be on your side, helping you to emerge victorious? Or will you die, lost like so many other souls, rendered unto oblivion by the fall of the merciless dice?

Note: this game contains no porn. This is not an adult video game; it's just named after something else. I'm sorry if that disappoints you.

The Hentai Reserve Dungeon is an old-school RPG. That’s the short version. Technically, it’s a psuedo-random dungeon crawler with a simple JRPG battle system and elements of interaction fiction or visual novels, but “RPG” is much shorter. Here, “old-school” refers to both style and substance. The graphics are plain, the interaction is limited, and the difficulty can fluctuate from cakewalk to wildly unfair in the blink of an eye. You’re welcome!

It’s also short. Or, relatively short. HRD is not a game that will take you fifty hours per playthrough. It’s intended to be played several times, and each attempt can present different opportunities and challenges to the player. Even the demo has multiple paths a player can take, and the player’s character decisions (and luck) can affect which routes are available.
